David received a Bachelor of Fine Arts - Sculpture from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1982. After graduating, he owned and operated a light general contracting and construction management firm for nearly 25 years.

His notable projects include the design/build construction of a private residence in Nishinomiya Japan; the partial rehabilitation of a historically significant residence in Kobe, Japan and the design/build construction of Ben Weddle & Associates Photography Studio, project winner of the KC Economic Development Corporation Cornerstone Award.

David joined CEO Structural Engineers in October 2007 and currently serves as our liaison between design professionals and the wide array of constructors who utilize our work product on a daily basis.
